High Tide is a holiday hut situated on the shore of the Solway Firth. It was built in 1937 as a family retreat and retains a personal and homely feel.  The big main window of the hut, a true picture window, looks directly onto our own beach where rabbits, hedgehogs and even deer as well as a great variety of birds can be seen playing and feeding.This particular patch of the Solway coast is a place of outstanding natural beauty, with spectacular sunsets and a true sense of peace. There are many lovely local walks and places of interest to visit. Lighting in the hut is from 12V batteries charged from a solar panel. Heated by a wood burning stove and there is also a Super Ser gas heater if required.High Tide is a wood lined chalet which consists of a main room with windows on to the beach, two bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with 2 single beds.  There is a bed settee in the main room and a camp bed is also available. There is mains water with a gas water heater in the kitchen. The kitchen, which has a door to the garden, has a gas cooker and gas refrigerator. Cutlery, utensils and crockery are plentiful. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and a gas charged showerHigh Tide is the sort of place for those who want to just get away and off grid. Walking, bird watching, reading, or just enjoying the view.
