It was built in 1937 as a family retreat and retains a personal and homely feel.  The big main window of the hut, a true picture window, looks directly onto our own beach where rabbits, hedgehogs and even deer as well as a great variety of birds can be seen playing and feeding.This particular patch of the Solway coast is a place of outstanding natural beauty, with spectacular sunsets and a true sense of peace.
