New for 2015, Black Isle Yurts is a small eco-sensitive “glamping” site set on some of Eastern Scotland’s most dramatic coastal scenery overlooking the Moray Firth, 30 minutes drive north east of Inverness.  Each tastefully furnished, locally built yurt comes fully equipped with a wood-burning stove and has its own secluded pitch in native woodland, part of a small working farm.  Free Wifi available at the comfortable shower and toilet block (the Hub). Well-behaved dogs welcome. Open from July to October 31st. Online booking at; Tel +44 (0)1381 620634.

Our yurts are a beautiful forest green on the outside to blend in with the unspoilt Ettrick Valley. Each sits neatly on its own raised decking with panoramic views up or down the valley over the Ettrick Water and surrounding hills, and a private sitting out area right next to it. Kitted out with a picnic table, a BBQ for outdoor cooking and a fire pit to cook on also – or just to enjoy and toast your marshmallows when the stars come out (and there are lot of stars here!).
