Six French Roulottes – Devanna, Karlotta, Gitana, Maharani, Shivanni, Zenaya and one Dutch roulotte, Rosa Bella have settled into their new home in the Scottish Borders and enjoying life around the lochan in the wildflower meadow.  It has taken five years to achieve our vision, Roulotte Retreat – creating a beautiful circle of colourful roulottes, each unique and offering a stylish and utterly different place to enjoy time and space out from everyday life. And of course don’t forget Ruby, our beautiful little authentic Bowtop Gypsy caravan who comes with Horseshoe Cottage, in the woodland garden next door! In addition we have a 1950’s wooden Studio, which is great for groups, friends and family get togethers or for workshops.

Rubersview is tucked away on private grounds on the edge of Minto conservation village . The hut sleeps two people and is furnished beautifully with vintage objet d’art and collectables. It has two forms of heating , electric and woodburning stove with a good supply of kiln dried hardwood supplied for free. There is provision to cook and make tea and coffee, also there is running water, electricity and free wifi.

There is a shower room and toilet a short walk away from the hut in the main old School building but from April there will be a dedicated shower hut with toilet and basin adjacent to the main hut. Rubersview is for hire for one nights stay or a full week , 3 day deals and a week deal are also available .

Our yurts are a beautiful forest green on the outside to blend in with the unspoilt Ettrick Valley. Each sits neatly on its own raised decking with panoramic views up or down the valley over the Ettrick Water and surrounding hills, and a private sitting out area right next to it. Kitted out with a picnic table, a BBQ for outdoor cooking and a fire pit to cook on also – or just to enjoy and toast your marshmallows when the stars come out (and there are lot of stars here!).
