Sandy Meadow Escapes (SME) offers two luxury holiday pods, fully equipped, offering the comforts of home, in a superb location close to the mountains and sea. SME is located 1.5 miles off the infamous NC500 route, in the secluded settlement of Achmelvich. Our pods are a three minutes walk from the stunning white sandy beach of Achmelvich Bay. We would love for you to join us for a relaxing escape.
SERENITY (SLEEPS 4)
Serenity is well appointed, with an open plan layout, giving you plenty of space to unwind and relax. There is a spacious lounge/ dining area, which includes a double sofa bed, and modern well-equipped kitchen, to the rear. The main bedroom area offers a sumptuous king size bed with plush hotel-quality linens, with direct access to the luxury shower room.
Take your time to settle into this relaxing and inviting space and enjoy a different type of retreat. HARMONY (SLEEPS 2A + 2C)
Harmony is a large single pod with a side entrance, accessed from the decked seating area. It has been decorated in a more modern style, with white painted walls reflecting the ample natural light.
The view over our Serenity pod to the hill above the campsite, is perfect for the spectacular sunsets Achmelvich is renowned for. An evening stroll to the beach, a few minutes’ walk from the pod, is a photographer’s dream, especially at sundown.

Location
Achmelvich (Gaelic: Achadh Mhealbhaich) is a settlement situated in the Highland region of Scotland. The name comes from the Gaelic “Achadh” – meaning a plain or meadow and “mealbhaich” – translated as sandy dunes.
Both our Serenity, and our Harmony pods, are nestled on our family croft in Achmelvich. The settlement of Achmelvich is a secluded bay located 1.5miles off the iconic NC500 driving route. It is accessed via a single-track road, 3 miles from the small fishing village of Lochinver.
