On the shores of Loch Fleet, among the Scots pine of Balblair woods, you’ll find The Birdwatcher’s Cabin, visited only by wildlife, nestle into your very own private corner of the Scottish Highlands on the Loch Fleet Nature Reserve.
Tucked away 2km from the main road, down a well-maintained gravel track, is The Birdwatcher’s Cabin. The cabin boasts extraordinary views over Loch Fleet and Loch Fleet Nature Reserve and is therefore home to an abundance of beautiful wildlife. On the veranda and patio area, double doors open to the cosy interior of The Birdwatcher’s Cabin. The cabin is neatly laid out with everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay. A warming wood-burning stove keeps the place toasty and works simultaneously as the oven and hob. The kitchen facilities are neat and include a fitted dishwasher and fridge. The sofa area is great for relaxing by the fire, watching TV, or opening the double doors to the magnificent views where you may spot a variety of pine martens, red squirrels, terns and even ospreys. A king-size bed lies at the back of the property, and from the bed, guests can see directly out onto the loch, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the views at all times of day.
The elegant shower room features a vast walk-in shower made from local Caithness slate, a WC, sink, illuminated mirror and a tucked-away washing machine, completing the room. Outside, convenient parking is available next door to the property. Sit outside on the patio for lovely south and east-facing views from the terrace and watch the sea birds, including eiders and Scottish crossbills. The Birdwatcher’s Cabin is free from light pollution and where you’ll find no distractions and enjoy a break of complete rest and relaxation.
